Frequently asked questions.

How do I add a location?

Open Conditions, double-tap the background to bring up Settings, and type a city name or zip code in the location field. Tap Set Location to save it.

How do I switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius?

In Settings (double-tap the background), toggle Use Celsius. Conditions defaults to your device's region setting on first launch.

Why does Conditions need my location?

To show you the weather where you are. Your location is sent to Apple Weather (WeatherKit) so it can fetch a forecast — and that's it. Conditions doesn't store your location anywhere or use it for anything else.

Where does the weather data come from?

Apple Weather (WeatherKit), built into iOS. The same data Apple uses for the built-in Weather app and Siri.

Why does my iPad show a sidebar?

On iPad, Conditions uses a split layout to take advantage of the bigger screen — saved locations on the left, current conditions and forecast on the right. On iPhone or iPad Slide Over, it uses a single-column layout instead.

Where is the Apple Watch app?

If you have an Apple Watch paired with your iPhone, the Watch app installs automatically alongside Conditions. Open it from the watch face or pin a Conditions complication to your watch face for a glance-able forecast.

I had Conditions years ago — did my settings carry over?

Yes. Conditions 2.0 reads the same settings keys as the original 2013 version, so your Fahrenheit/Celsius preference and any saved location should still be there.
