What happened to the Conditions weather app?

Conditions, the minimal weather app that launched for iPhone in February 2013, has been rebuilt from scratch by Great Work LLC for iOS 26 and iPadOS 26. It keeps the original look (pull to refresh, tap for the five-day forecast, day and night themes) and now gets its forecasts from Apple Weather. The rebuild isn't on the App Store yet; leave your email on the home page to hear the day it is.

What stayed the same

  • Where you are, what it's like right now, and the next five days. Nothing else on the screen.
  • Pull down to refresh, and the thermometer fills while the forecast loads.
  • Tap once for the five-day highs, again for the lows, and a third time to go back to just the current conditions.
  • The Climacons weather icons, and a day look and a night look.

What's new in the rebuild

  • Forecasts from Apple Weather (WeatherKit).
  • Built for iOS 26 and iPadOS 26, as one universal app for iPhone and iPad.
  • On iPad, a sidebar of saved cities next to the weather.
  • Several saved cities: swipe between them on iPhone.
  • Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets.
  • The night look follows your device's Dark Mode setting.
  • Fahrenheit or Celsius, picked from your region and switchable in Settings.
  • No ads, no accounts, no tracking.

When can I get it?

The rebuild isn't on the App Store yet. Put your email in on the home page and you'll get one note the day it's out. Questions in the meantime go to hello@greatwork.company.

Questions

Is the new Conditions the same app as the 2013 one?

Same design and the same idea, rebuilt from scratch in 2026. It is a new App Store listing, so settings from the 2013 version do not carry over.

Where does the new Conditions get its weather?

Apple Weather (WeatherKit), the same service behind the built-in Weather app. The Apple Weather mark and a link to its data sources sit under every forecast.

Does Conditions have ads or tracking?

No. No ads, no accounts and no tracking. Your location goes to Apple Weather to fetch a forecast and is not sent to us. You can also add cities by name instead.

When can I download it?

It isn't on the App Store yet. Enter your email on the conditionsapp.com home page and you'll get one note when it's out.
